Rearing African Children Under American Occupation
Rearing
African Children Under American Occupation "is a little handbook of
the heart. Honor and respect are the passwords, and the author teaches
parents of African descent that culture, as well as charity begins at home.
Brother Vanderhorst brings us back to the African Village where the legacy of communal Black Love kept our
children safe and sound." - Dr. Gwendolyn Goldsby Grant, Psychologist,
author and advice columnist for Essence Magazine.

Family Matters: Hope and Healing
Family Matters addresses those not-so-positive traits of
character that continue to surface generation after generation in our
families and how we must stop these perpetual recurrences by returning to
the "source" before we can move forward. "More than
political positioning, economic recovery and social equality, we need to
confront, resolve and heal the issues in our families. Family Matters is
the 'key' that unlocks the door for us to gain true liberty."

Smellin' Ourselves:
What Men Need To Understand About Ourselves And Our
Women
Most men don't understand the
"essence" of male-female relationships! Hint: "If you don't
understand "spirit," what it is, its function, and its centrality
in male-female relationships, everything else you think you understand
about male-female relationships will only confuse you!" Smellin'
Ourselves encourages men to bring a new, irresistible "essence"
into our words, thoughts, deeds, actions and lives that our women - some of
them for too long - have been waiting to inhale!

Scents Of A Woman
This book is the female companion to Smellin'Ourselves.
In Scents Of A Woman, there are similarities with women and
flowers and their growth process. Childhood is the Sowing stage.
Experiences and encounters in a female's youth and young adult life is the
Pollination stage. Unfortunately, many females have developed what I call,
growths and formations that have affected their spirit. You can tell by the
"scents" of a woman that inhibit their relationships with men.
These growths and formations must be addressed in the Pruning Stage. Only
then will the "scents" of a woman give off a fragrance that will
enhance her relationship with men.

Whole Brain Marriage & Parenting
A number of years
ago, I became interested in how the brain works. I did my research. to be
honest with you, I don't know too much more than when I first inquired. It
was too much technical stuff for me. But my quest was not in vain. I did
learn something. Since then, I've been developing and practicing a concept
called, Whole Brain Marriage and Parenting. Marriage and parenting should
be the most blessed and rewarding experiences in adult life.

"Call Me A Playa' Hater!"
One of
the most popular and often asked questions by many youth today is,
"Why you playa' hatin'? The popular response to the question is,
"Don't hate the playa', hate the game!" Playa' hatin' is tantamount
to irreverence, as if a so-called playa' is never to be challenged,
critiqued, questioned or disagreed with! Well, this is my response to all
that: "CALL ME A PLAYA' HATER!" Is a playa' still a playa; still
a playa' after the judge says, "Life without parole?" Is a playa'
still a playa' after the physician says, "AIDS?" This book
examines the negative side of Hip Hop Culture.

Pain and Praise
There are countless bitter, confused and
untrusting people like this woman who believe God "allowed" or
"permitted" their Pain. Well, if God is ultimately (or even
remotely) responsible for suffering and Pain, then is there a need of a
devil? I refuse to accept that Pain is somehow "God's will." I
have concluded that if we are to come to a cogent understanding of Pain,
God must first be exonerated. If we are to understand the inception and
continuation of Pain, we must understand the gravity, the solemnity, the
enormity, the significance, the magnitude, and the consequences of our
power of Choice.

Growin'
& Flowin': How 2 Grow Up Straight 'N A Crooked World
Growing up
is serious stuff. It can even be very confusing or even difficult at times.
You might be growing up without a father or mother in your home, or they
might have died, in prison, divorced, on drugs, or you don’t know who they
are or where they are! You might
have both parents in the home but they are too busy, or not easy to get
along with, or they might be cool.
You might live with your grandmother or aunt, in a foster or group
home, in a shelter, or even on the street. We all have different
experiences, family situations, personal challenges, and obstacles to
overcome. But guess what? YOU STILL HAVE TO GROW UP. And YOU
need to know how to do that just in case you are not getting the help you
need at home or in your community. That’s why I’m writing this book. I want
to share with you some very important insight that will help you learn how
to grow up straight in a crooked world. Someone said, “It’s not how you
start but how you end up that makes all the difference in the world.
