	Prepare Our Youth, Inc., organized in 1981, is headed by Stevan Vanderhorst, Co-Founder and Executive Director, and Ronnie Vanderhorst, Co-Founder. Stevan Vanderhorst Stevan Vanderhorst is Executive Director and Co-Founder of Prepare Our Youth, Inc., (POY) a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., serving children, youth and families through education and counseling. Stevan is married to Gayle W. Vanderhorst, and the father of two talented daughters, Gayle and La Joya. His educational training and studies include social work, theology, drug abuse counseling, and medical lab technician. Prior to co-founding Prepare Our Youth, he was director of the District of Columbia's Juvenile Restitution and Diversion program (one of four sites city-wide). Stevan received the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Leadership Award, and was recognized for his work by the Washington, D.C. superior court system, as a role model and advocate for troubled youth. He is listed in the Profile of Service National Directory which selected 150 people around the country who are making a positive difference in church and community. Ronnie Vanderhorst Every generation produces a fresh crop of intellectual visionaries, mind liberators with the extraordinary ability and talent to motivate the consciousness toward conviction and commitment to a righteous cause. Ronnie Vanderhorst is such a liberator. Ronnie's powerful and thought-provoking presentations inspire hope and healing for this generation, and those who listen to his message will be empowered for positive, profitable, and productive change. Ronnie understands and addresses the growing need of schools, churches and communities to be empowered with the knowledge, skills and resources for self-determination and community empowerment.
